Kala and the Wave

Kala knew blood, a great deal of kala's time was spent thinking and being as blood. That was Kala's special trick, she could become her own blood. She was a fluid, a warm rushing river of life. Within this river was a song, Kala would listen to the song with great interest. Very deep within the river was a light. Kala would marvel at the beauty and mystery of this light. All through the river life and death changed places. Kala was content in the rhythm.

One night in a dream, the song within Kala came to her in the form of a snake. "Kala you have listened to me, now I want you to see me dance and know the light". Kala looked at the snake and was surprised to see the snake move and change into countless forms. As the changes took place, Kala heard the most beautiful music and saw the most wonderful colors. The snake became so long it it seemed to stretch out to infinity. Ripples in it's body grew in amplitude and changed in frequency , in the movement song and colors became one. When Kala awoke her skin was gone and her river flowed free in the night sky.
